The Vermont Championship Division is open to the eight highest-ranked Vermont Go Players (determined by their current AGA rating). All games in this division are even! The first round will have eight players, the next round consists of the four winners from the previous round, and the final game will be between the remaining two players. There will be no play-off for third place. Participants who lose a game in the Vermont Championship Division will get added to the following round of the Main (Handicap) Division. So everyone gets to play three games! All games in the Vermont Championship are EVEN!
The Main (Handicap) Division is open to all AGA members and will have normal handicaps for all games. Handicap will be based on the difference in rating/rank.
The organizers will provide a few light snacks and beverages. Lunch is not provided; however, several food establishments are within walking distance of the venue.
Games can go long, and there is not a lot of time between rounds, so it may be a good idea to bring your own lunch. Please plan to check in 5-10 minutes before each round begins.
